The Klondike is annual event. Once a year the boy scouts go and make a team to run in the Klondike. Its a several hour long event and during which the scouts go from “town” to town pulling a sledge with their supplies on it. The towns are small areas set up in the forest that the scouts have to find with only the help of a map and compass. At the towns the scouts get to practice their skills and are awarded up to 5 gold nuggets for their work. At the end of the Klondike the scouts go back to the starting line to turn in the nuggets and see how many they got compared to the other teams.
